Our History:
Pretzel Logic Systems was born in 1989 in a small town in Michigan. Paul Howard and Tim Burns started the company (above a garage, not in it) in an effort to show that computer technology didn't have to be frightening; it could help small businesses compete, and let them focus on serving their customers instead of serving the technology. Of course, being a couple of computer geeks, it also gave them the perfect excuse for "playing" with computers 24 hours a day.

In 1990, Paul's brother Greg joined the company. Greg focused on emerging POS applications, and soon began using MicroBiz software to manage the business. In less than a year PLS became an authorized MicroBiz dealer, and began selling and supporting MicroBiz software to small retailers across Michigan. In 1998 Paul took over running the Michigan office while Greg moved to California to open an office in Sacramento Incorporated as Aja Systems, Inc.). Greg was joined in Sacramento by Barbara Janosko. Barb started out managing the business while Greg did the technical work, but Barb soon expanded her role to include handling all the POS software training for clients, and soon became (to her surprise) a computer geek herself.

Three years later, with the Sacramento office running smoothly under Barb's control, Greg moved to the Portland/Vancouver area to open up another new office to handle clients in the Northwest. Now we are Authorized Resellers for MicroBiz, ComCash, Merchant Software, and Autosoft Inc., providing our clients with a wide range of products, services and support.
